Exporting MAS/Crystal forms to Adobe

Did you know that you can export any form (invoices, purchase orders, etc.) or report produced from Crystal Reports to an Adobe file?  Adobe Acrobat Reader® is an industry standard for business documents.  Often times clients may like to receive documents from you via email.  Included with version 8.5 of Crystal Reports is the ability to do just that!

To export any Crystal form or report to Adobe you will first preview your document instead of printing it.  Once in the preview, look to the toolbar at the top of the screen and click the white envelope with a red arrow pointing into it.  Once you click it, a Crystal Export window will come up.  Set the format to “Acrobat Format PDF” and leave the destination as “Disk File”.  After clicking, you’ll be given the option of the pages you’d like to export.  Note: all pages export into one file. Click “Ok” and you can decide the name and location of the file you are about to create.  Click “Save”.  You can now export the report or form you just exported to a client or to someone in your organization.
